The output current of the Victron Smart MPPT 100/50 solar charge controller is not normally adjustable and so if power is available and the battery is able to accept charge (ie not full) it will pass all the current that is available up to the 50 amp limit. In more sophisticated lithium battery systems where DVCC is engaged in the Cerbo GX the Cerbo takes over control of the MPPT and in these circumstances it can reduce the charge current if needed.
