As long as there is not a huge discrepancy between the power available and the power the unit can handle the only thing that will happen is that the excess power will not be used and will be wasted. The maximum output for this MPPT is 50 amps. Its OK to connect panels that are slightly more powerful than recommended but not OK to connect panels that are way bigger than recommended.
