The Victron Smart MPPT 100/50 can put out a maximum current of 50 amps. You can use the formula Watts = Volts x Amps to do some calculations. If you put in 12 volts and 50 amps into the equation you get 600 Watts. However when the battery is charging it will most of the time be at more than 12 volts. You can see that to get an answer of 700 Watts they had to have used a battery voltage of 14 volts to come up with that figure. When the battery is below 14 volts you wont be able to use all of the 700 watts
