Either the BMV 712 battery monitor or the SmartShunt or one of the other Victron battery monitors can be used with the Cerbo GX. You will need one or other of them to read battery state of charge on the Cerbo. The BMV 712 has its own screen, the SmartShunt does not. If your Cerbo has a Touch 50 or Touch 70 screen attached then you don't need two screens showing the same information and so should just get the SmartShunt.
