The Victron Energy SCC110050210 Smart Solar MPPT 100/50 Charge Controller with Bluetooth has a built in sensor but it is built-in to the MPPT and is only associated with the battery by virtue of being nearby. If you have expensive AGM batteries you might like to adjust the charge voltage based on actual battery temperature, or if you have lithium batteries and would like the charge to stop below a certain temperature, then you should have a battery temperature sensor in the system.
