The Smart Solar MPPT 150/60 is self contained and works by itself, you will just have to hook it up to the battery and the solar panels and provide appropriate circuit protection. To share the data with a Cerbo GX or other GX device you will need a VE Direct cable. If you want the MPPT to read battery voltage and temperature more accurately you can set up VE Smart Wireless networking and get a Victron Smart Battery Sense. You can also do this if you have one of the Bluetooth enabled Victron battery monitors and its temp sensor.
