Yes the Blue Sea 2126 MaxiBus BusBar 250 Amps could be used as the main busbar for a 400 amp battery bank provided that you do not exceed its 250 amp rating. Often a battery bank of that size would have high loads like inverter chargers that exceed 250 amps and for those you would need a heavier duty busbar like the Blue Sea 2104 or Blue Sea 2107 or the BEP Pro Installer 5 Stud Bus Bar - 650A
