The Victron Energy BAT512120610 Smart Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery 12.8V 200 Ahr can be discharged all the way to 100% Depth of Discharge (DOD) on occasion but doing this on a regular basis shortens the lifespan. Victron give a few statistics for lifespan based on average depth of discharge. For a 50% DOD they quote a 5000 charge cycle liefspan and for 80% DOD they quote 2500 cycles. For design purposes at PKYS we normally use the 80% DOD figure.
