Yes the Balmar MC-618 Voltage Regulator is an upgrade to the MC-614. The principal difference is the addition of terminals to connect it to the SG200 Battery Monitor. Then with the addition of the Bluetooth Gateway you would be able to program and monitor the regulator from the SG200. It also got an increase in memory which was required for it to interface with the other devices.
