Im not sure which shunt you are referring to. The Lynx Shunt VE Can is rated for 1000 amps, the SmartShunt is rated for 500 amps. Don't confuse Amps and Amp Hours. Your battery bank is 800 amp hours but that is not the same as it producing 800 amps of current.
