There are two versions of this alternator available with different characteristics. The Balmar 96-48-60-K6 Alternator 48 Volts 60 Amps has a lower overall output but its performance cuts in at lower RPM. The Balmar 96-48-100-K8 Alternator 48 Volts 100 Amps has a higher overall output but its output doesn't start until it reaches a higher RPM. See the power output table below for a comparison. Note we are talking alternator RPM, not engine RPM.
