The photo shows the standard Balmar pulley which has a boss on the back that fits into a depression in the alternator. Using this pulley with other brands of alternators that dont have a similar depression would make the pulley alignment be wrong and might also cause the other problems you are experiencing. We do have a pulley 48-AM-97 J10 Pulley which is specifically for Hitachi alternators
