I am adding an additional 30 amp shore power to my boat and will be using this as my main breaker attached to a selector switch for shore and gen. Yes this is a double pole 30 amp breaker and you connect both the hot and neutral to it. If its for new work on a boat to be compliant with current ABYC standards you need the breaker to also have an ELCI component so the equivalent would be Blue Sea 8100 ELCI Main Panel with 30A Double Pole Breaker
