Is there derating information for using smaller cables? My continuous load is only about 125A @ 24VDC, and I'd like to stay with smaller cables. Thanks!

This is a 12 volt unit and is not suitable for 24 volts. It does require heavy cables to meet it current carrying rating, the purpose of the cables is to dissipate the heat. They don't give you any guidance on derating, sorry.
