Is there derating information for using smaller cables? My continuous load is only about 125A @ 24VDC, and I'd like to stay with smaller cables.

The switch has quite a high current rating for such a small switch. In part this is achieved by using heavy duty battery cables to help remove the heat generated within the switch. Its continuous rating is 300 amps when used with 4/0 cables. They haven't given it a rating for smaller cables.
