4/0 cables are required to meet the published ratings of the switch. This is because having big cables allows heat generated within the switch to be more easily dissipated. Installing 4/0 cables with the Blue Sea Systems 6006 Mini ON-OFF Battery Switch can be a bit challenging and you might need to exert some effort to wrestle them into place. They do fit however.
