The Quattro-II and the MultiPlus-II do the same thing but the Quattro has two AC inputs, typically used for shore and generator, and will automatically select the active input. The MultiPlus only has a single input and so you have to fit an external transfer switch to be able to select shore and generator. That's the principal difference. One other difference is that with the Quattro, since it knows the source of your power, you can set different current limits for the generator input to the shore input.
