This is the right alternator for your engine. I'm sure if you have spent enough time working on boats you know that nothing is quite as easy as a "drop in" This is a serious upgrade and so you are going to have to upgrade your output wiring. In addition this is an isolated ground alternator and so it needs a dedicated negative output wire as big as the positive wire, Balmar recommend 2 awg. I don't think you should expect any other difficulties other than having to spend a number of hours on your knees working in a very confined space.
