This is a VE Direct port and is used for communication with other Victron devices such as the Cerbo GX. You can also use it to connect to a computer using the VE Direct to USB interface The default program it operates is Victron Connect. There are other things you can do and this article about Open Source will give you an introduction to using Victron equipment outside its regular "out of the box" applications.
