Yes it can. The maximum transfer capacity is 50 amps so you can use it with a 50 amp service. You can of course use it with less, including 15 amps or 30 amps. In the programming or on the remote panel you can tell it what service it is plugged in to and this means it will restrict the draw from the power supply and avoid blowing the breaker on the pedestal.
