Can the Blue Sea 3116 SMS Panel be used to set up an independent shore power system with 30 amp shore power and distribution breakers for two heaters? Blue Sea 3116 ELCI Main Surface Mount Panel 30 Amp 120 VAC

I intend to run a new 30 amp circuit for the purpose of powering 1 or possibly 2 1500 watt heaters would this product be suitable for this use. Powered from the 30 amp shore power pedestal to a 30 amp inlet connector. The panel would be installed in the cabin near the main power panel.

Absolutely, the 3116 panel is perfect for that. It already comes with the double pole ELCI main breaker, you just have to add two (or even three) distribution breakers and some indicator lights. The 15 amp breakers to use would be the Blue Sea 7403 Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker 15 Amps

ELCI main breakers are now an ABYC requirement and should be fitted within 10 feet of the incoming shore power. Because this box is waterproof it can be mounted in a lazarette or similar area.
