Yes you can use this for any 12, 24, 36 or 48 volt battery system. Boats with trolling motors tend to me small and maybe a bit damp so you might prefer to use the IP65 version which has greater water resistance and costs the same. Victron Energy SHU065150050 SmartShunt 500A/50mV (IP65 version)
