Yes, the Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor does have the capability to read temperature on its second channel. This requires the purchase of an optional temperature sensor. Victron Energy ASS000100000 Temperature Sensor for BMV 702/712 and Smart Shunt. The second channel can only be used for one purpose, so if you want to use it for temperature you wont be able to use it to measure the voltage of a second battery.
