In this context both the SolidSwitch and the BatteryProtect act in the same way, they are relays used to disconnect a load or charge. The SolidSwitch has a maximum rating of 4 amps whereas even the smallest of the three BatteryProtects has a rating of 65 amps. The SolidSwitch is the baby brother and is only used for very low current applications. For anything that is carrying real power you want a BatteryProtect.
