The Multiplus II, specifically the Victron PMP242305130 MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70-50 2x120V inverter charger was specifically designed with RV's in mind and might not be the most efficient choice for marine use. This is primarily because the majority of boats utilizing 120/240 volt shore power typically rely on 240 volts for their larger power needs. This unit cannot produce 240 volts when inverting. As long as you are OK with it just inverting two legs of 120 then you can certainly use this unit in a marine application.
