The Balmar 60-100-SV alternator is equipped with a Yanmar style dual foot mount where the feet are 3.15" apart when measured internally. This is a mounting style found on almost all Yanmar engines and quite a few other makes also use the same mount.
You will also come across alternators with two mounting feet where the feet are 4" apart. The two types are not interchangeable, normally the 4" mount is found on larger engines where they have more room.
