Yes it does. There is a backup internal regulator but its for emergencies only and not intended for everyday use. If you want to stick with Balmar you could use the MC-624-H regulator. The Arco Zeus or Wakespeed regulators could also be used if you want. Temperature sensors are recommended, with the Balmar regulator they are available but not included.
