Can a relay disconnect the input in the ORI122436120, keeping the output connected? Victron Energy ORI122436120 Orion-Tr Smart 12/24-15A Isolated DC-DC charger

The small "vampire" current of the charger is becoming problematic when the vehicle is stored for a long time. Is it acceptable to use a relay to disconnect the input voltage (from the starter battery and alternator) while leaving the output connected to the house battery all the time? The remote on/off jumper would be left in place, or I could tie it to an ignition signal, or to the input voltage. With the ignition signal, there might be a small period (the switching time of the relay, under 1 second) where the ignition signal would be applied to the H pin before the 12V from the starter battery/alternator reaches the charger at the positive input terminal.

Yes it would be OK to disconnect the input wires while still leaving the output connected. Note that you can also wire the remote terminal of this charger into the ignition switch so it is only on when the ignition is on. This is discussed in my video on Victron Green Plugs
