The 100/30 MPPT can be used with either 12 or 24 volt systems and it has the capability to automatically identify whether the battery bank is 12 or 24 volts. For this to happen you must connect the controller to the battery first, then connect the solar panels. If you go in to the programming menu you can then manually tell it the battery voltage so that if you need to disconnect and reconnect it in the future you can do it in any order you like.
