The lifespan of one of these batteries depends on how you use it. Victron quote a figure of 5000 Cycle life @ 50% Discharge, 2000 Cycle life @ 70% Discharge, and 2500 Cycle life at 80% Discharge. They qualify that by saying that the cycle life figure will be when capacity is reduced to 80% of nominal. Other manufacturers quote their cycle life in different ways but essentially it all represents a considerably extended lifespan compared to traditional batteries, and in many cases the batteries will outlive the projects that they are being used for.
