Full programming of the WS500 is done from a phone or computer. They never did get the Bluetooth part working so it only works with a hard wire connection and only works directly with an Android phone. You download the Wakespeed app to your phone and then once the phone is wired to the Wakespeed you can do your programming on the app in real time.
If you have an Apple phone the phone will not permit this type of connection. There is an Apple App that you can use to do the programming, but then you have to email the programming file to your computer, then hard wire your computer to the Wakespeed to upload the file. This is super clumsy but it does work. However its easier to do with an Android phone which is how we did it. If you dont have one maybe you could borrow one.
