IP43 is a rating under the Ingress Protection (IP) code, which classifies the degree of protection provided by enclosures of electrical equipment against the intrusion of solid objects and water. The first digit '4' indicates protection against solid objects larger than 1mm, and the second digit '3' indicates protection against water spray at an angle up to 60 degrees from vertical.
