For a 100 amp DC service, the appropriate wire size typically ranges from 2 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper wire, depending on the length of the run and acceptable voltage drop. You can consult the Ampacity tables to get the minimum size. The minimum size for 100 amps is 6 awg but if this panel is being used in a marine environment and any of the items being switched from the panel are considered essential items then the 3% Voltage drop rule applies which will give you a much bigger size.
