The Smart Solar MPPT 150/60 -TR Charge Controller has an internal temperature sensor to monitor its internal temperature and prevent overheating. This is not the same as having a battery temperature sensor of course. A wireless battery temp sensor like the Smart Battery Sense can be added and networked, it is also possible to use a temperature sensor with the SmartShunt or BMV 712 Battery Monitor, both of which can be wirelessly networked with the MPPT using Bluetooth and VE Smart Networking.
