Answer: The Victron BMS CL 12/100 can manage up to twenty batteries in parallel.
Question: Will I need something like a SmartShunt to monitor battery status with this BMS
Answer: Yes you will need a SmartShunt or other battery monitor to give you battery information, the BMS by itself wont be able to give you anything but battery voltage.
