The Quattro inverter charger has two AC inputs and two AC outputs, hence the name Quattro. The Quattro will only connect to one input at a time, and will automatically select the active input. Typically the two inputs would be Shore and Generator, but they can be any two power sources. One of the outputs is available all the time, if external power is available it will pass it through and if no external power is present the Quattro will invert. The second output is programmable and the default setting is that it will only provide power when an external source is connected. This idea is to use this for bigger loads that you don't want to run on battery power.
