What regulator settings should I use when charging a lifepo house bank via a lead acid starter battery and dc-dc charger

In this scenario should I use Lead Acid settings on my regulator since the dc-dc charger is set to Lifpo for the house side?

If your alternator is charging a lead acid battery then you should set up the regulator program to match that battery. Then if you are using a DC DC Charger to take some of that charge to a lithium battery then it should be programmed for Lithium. That way each battery gets exactly what it wants and there are no compromises.
