I had to get Egis to help me answer this question and this is what they wrote:
It does receive its positive voltage from the terminal stud, so the 8710-1500 cannot do ground switching. However, if you do need ground switching we do have another product, our 8730-1505 which can switch ground on one side and positive on the other side. I have attached the specification sheet for this product. If there is anything else we can assist with please let us know.
