Yes they can. This is done over Bluetooth using VE Smart Networking. Normally you would also network a battery voltage and temperature sensor such as the SmartShunt, BMV712, or Smart Battery Sense. The latter sends temperature data to the chargers as well as battery voltage, with the other two devices I mentioned the temperature sensor is sold separately.
