The Victron Lithium NG 12.8V batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) type, available in capacities of 100Ah, 150Ah, 200Ah, and 300Ah. Apart from their compact size and low weight the key features include an integrated Battery Temperature and Voltage (BTV) control system for cell balancing, an integrated shunt for accurate state-of-charge (SoC) calculation, Bluetooth communication via the BMS (not included) for monitoring and firmware updates, IP65 ingress protection, low self-discharge (≤3% per month at 25°C), high efficiency, and support for series/parallel configurations up to 50 batteries for 12V/24V/48V systems. With these batteries the BMS (Battery Management System) is external which provides early warning of shutdown, a key ABYC requirement, as well as permitting the integration of external equipment like alternators.
