Mount the battery upright or on its side (but not with terminals facing down) in a dry indoor location. Allow at least 20mm of ventilation space on all sides for heat dissipation. Use carry handles for transport—do not lift by terminals or BMS cables—and employ handling equipment due to the battery's weight. Secure mounting prevents it from becoming a projectile in accidents. A screw down clip, pictured below, is provided for two ends but additional restraint might be necessary also depending on the application.
