This isolation transformer is designed to provide galvanic isolation between shore power and the onboard AC system in marine applications. It prevents electrolytic corrosion by breaking the direct electrical connection between the vessel and the dockside power source, while allowing safe power transfer. In addition it can convert from 115 to 230 volts and vice versa. The current limit for 230 volts is 16 amps and for 115 volts is 32 amps.
