There are two main differences between the various models. The first relates to water resistance. The IP 65 versions have a limited amount of water resistance that permits them to be installed in damp areas. My article on IP ratings explains these ratings in more detail but IP 65, although not submersible, does give some water resistance. The non IP65 models have no water resistance. the other difference between the models is the amount of current they can carry. The smallest can only carry 300 amps, which makes it suitable only for small DC Systems, the next model is 500 amps which allows it to be used in the vast majority of DC systems, and there is a 1000 amp model for the heaviest duty systems.
