The Victron BMV 712 measures and displays several key parameters:
Temperature measuring requires a temperature sensor sold separately.
- State of Charge (SoC %): The most important function—your battery's "fuel level."
- Battery Voltage (V): The current voltage of your main battery bank.
- Current (A) & Power (W): The "live" amount of energy flowing in (charging) or out (discharging).
- Amp-Hours (Ah) Consumed: A running total of energy pulled from the battery.
- Time-to-Go: An estimate of how long your battery will last at the current discharge rate.
- Second Input: It can also monitor the voltage of a second battery (like a starter battery), or be used for battery temperature or midpoint voltage monitoring
