The Victron BPP920140100 GX Tank 140 itself is powered via the USB cable connected to the GX device. However, because the sensors use voltage or current, they too need to be powered separately. In the case of Channels 1 and 2 an external power source (your battery) is required. The voltage you supply must be compatible with the senders. In the case of Channels 3 and 4 the unit provides a 24 volt source that it generates internally from the USB connection.
