The specs for this alternator say that it can put out up to 311 amps when cold and spinning at full speed. That means that a 300 amp fuse is too small and you would risk blowing it and damaging the alternator. If a 350 amp fuse was available I would recommend that but since it isn't you should use the 400 amp fuse.
