Question: Can I use a battery switch to switch both my positive and negative cables?
Answer: We do have double pole switches for this purpose, just be sure to NOT get a switch with a combine function, because that would result in a direct short circuit between positive and negative.
Question: Why do some battery switches have M10 (3/8") studs and others have M12 (1/2") studs
Answer: The stud size corresponds to the amperage rating. Heavy-duty switches use 1/2" (M12) studs to accommodate larger battery cables (like 4/0 AWG) which are necessary to carry high current without overheating.
