The term Serpentine Belt is a bit of a misnomer but it normally applies to multi-groove belts. These kind of belts can transfer much more power than standard belts without slipping, squealing, breaking or leaving lots of belt dust. The pulley kits sold at PKYS allow for the mounting of more powerful alternators by converting the standard drive belt to a multi-groove belt system. This prevents belt slippage and wear that often occurs when trying to pull high amperage from a single V-belt. PKYS stocks kits for the more popular engines like Yanmar, Volvo, and Perkins
