SmartSolar models have built-in Bluetooth, allowing you to monitor and program the controller directly from the VictronConnect app on your phone. BlueSolar models do not have built-in Bluetooth; to get the same functionality, you must plug in a separate VE.Direct Bluetooth Dongle. There is no way to program a BlueSolar model without purchasing an additional device.
