This refers to the diameter of the terminals used to join the modules together.
- M8 (8mm): Was the original standard used for years. It is now almost obsolete and is just sold for use in extending existing M8 systems
- M10 (10mm): The newer standard designed to match high-capacity components like the Lynx Smart BMS 1000.
